From the immaculately maintained championship golf course that is Noosa Springs to the family-friendly par 3 and mini golf set-up at Noosa Hills and everything in between. It really shouldn’t take much to tempt you to stay and play here. But, in case you do need a little extra persuasion, keep reading and be inspired to take a stylish golf holiday, the Noosa way.

Noosa Springs Golf Resort & Spa

The cleverly designed golf course at Noosa Springs provides a delightful challenge for golfers of all ages and skill levels. It boasts a devoted Golf Academy and prime practice facilities, including a chipping green, practice bunker and putting green. The golf course itself (designed by Graham Papworth) is crafted out of native rainforest and woodland areas. Golf enthusiasts from around the world genuinely enjoy the serene atmosphere of this 6,180-metre par 72 course. Ten freshwater lakes come into play on 12 of the holes and there’s always plenty of native wildlife to admire. Resort accommodation, day spa and gourmet dining are all available on-site.

Noosa Golf Club

Address: 46 Cooroy-Noosa Road, Tewantin

Well-groomed fairways and greens keep the 18-hole Noosa Golf Club somewhat difficult yet a lot of fun. The staff here are fantastic and are always on hand to offer tips and tricks for playing your best round. Noosa Golf Club is a great choice for destination golfing for you and your friends when visiting the Tewantin/Noosa region. Green fee cards for visitors offer reasonable rates of 1 x week for $150, 2 x weeks for $220, or a month for $400. Yes, you can just play the 9 or the 18 for the day but if you’re in town for a bit, it’s best to opt for the weekly fees.

Noosa Hills

Address: Hollett Road, Noosaville

A fun par 3 golf course featuring 36 holes of varying lengths, set amongst 74 acres of beautiful bushland. Noosa Hills welcomes all golfers, no matter their age, gender, skill, or fitness level. It has a laid-back yet social atmosphere and the relaxed dress code operates on a no collar, no worries philosophy.

It also features a brand-new mini golf facility which is the perfect place to spend a memorable day with family and friends outside in the sunshine. The course is a scaled-down version of a full-size golf course, designed to be played with the same rules as golf. Fun and challenging for the whole family, with two hole locations on each green, Noosa Mini Golf suits beginners and budding golfers but also provides a challenge for even the most experienced player!

Be sure to order up from their tasty clubhouse menu and enjoy your lunch in the outdoor beer garden. Open 6 am to 6pm, 7 days a week. No bookings required.

Cooroy Golf Club

Address: 28 Myall St, Cooroy

Located just 20 minutes from the heart of Noosa in the beautiful town of Cooroy with its hinterland village charm, this easy-walking (or hire a cart) 18-hole golf course offers a challenging but enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels. Visitors are welcome for a round of social golf or, if you have an official Golf Australia handicap, to play in member comps. Great value golf in a superb country setting with a welcoming ambiance. 

Noosa Valley Country Club

Address: 14 Valley Drive, Doonan

A unique boutique golf course set amid wonderful gardens filled with blossoming flowers and native trees. Don’t expect a pro-level golfing experience here but you can expect a leisurely game of golf in a casual setting. This nine-hole, par 72 course is beautifully maintained and in top condition all year. Ideal for low-key social play with a few friends.

Peregian Springs

Peregian Golf Course and Driving Range is a premier golf venue on the Sunshine Coast. Located just 12 minutes south of Noosa, the Peregian Golf Course is a highly regarded park-land style golf course open to the public 7 days a week. Their premium facilities and friendly atmosphere ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy – whether you’re an avid golfer, someone who enjoys a casual game every now and then or someone who likes to spend time socialising in the clubhouse. 

‘STAY & PLAY’ AT ESSENCE PEREGIAN BEACH

essence at Peregian Beach is a brand-new resort just a short drive from the Peregian Springs Golf Course. Their self-contained 2-bedroom suites are fantastic for hosting groups of golfers whilst couples and individual travellers may opt for the welcoming ambiance of the luxuriously appointed hotel studios. Want to linger longer? We recommend booking a designer beach house (there’s a selection of 3, 4, or 5-bedroom holiday home offerings) for the week and balancing your time between golfing your way around Noosa’s best golf courses and exploring the unspoiled hideaway that is Peregian Beach village.  

The hotel is within walking distance (as in, right across the street) from a range of artisan boutiques, scrumptious cafes and the Surf Life Saving Club (a top spot to enjoy a cool drink and watch the waves). Noosa National Park, a UNESCO-listed Biosphere Reserve, is essentially the backyard – it provides a truly beautiful sunset vista to admire and appreciate after a day on the green. We just love relaxing at the essence pool bar and enjoying a few post-round drinks! Meanwhile, fitness-focused folk will appreciate the option to workout at their state-of-the-art gym.

Travel Tip: a decadent brunch at the adjacent Outer Square Café is an absolute must. We suggest you go all out and sample their Chilli Crab Benny dish, featuring a flavoursome combo of Fraser Isle spanner crab, hollandaise, English muffins and flying fish roe, or for the sweet tooths amongst us, a Banoffee French toast will more than suffice. Other standout brunch menu favourites include a yummy Wagyu cheeseburger, zesty fish tacos made with flathead fillets, and a gourmet Bruschetta, prepared with local sourdough, rocket pesto and those moreish Noosa red tomatoes of course. Note: this café serves their signature blend of award-winning coffee direct from famed Noosa roasters, Clandestino Coffee. It trades daily from 5:30am – 3pm and is open for dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Golfed out? That’s unlikely but I suppose it’s always plausible. Either way, make time to check out the mix of non-golfing activities in the Noosa region while you’re here too. Cruise the everglades on an eco safari, dine at the best Noosa restaurants, join an adventurous 4WD beach tour or, head to the hinterland and sink a few boutique G&Ts at the Pomona Distilling Co.
