Resimax Group CEO Steve Hooker says the three-day tournament is expected to play host to some big names across all sports, not just golf.
“We’re honoured to welcome the likes of Brett Rumford – a six times European winner – and Richard Green – a three-times European tour winner, as well as a huge cross-section of other sporting professionals,” Steve said.
“Participants can expect to see AFLW players, such as Jess Hosking and Sarah Hosking, as well as racing royalty, Brent Thompson, Damien Oliver and Ciaron Maher from Ciaron Maher Racing, who is a major sponsor for the tournament.
“To say we’re excited to see this line-up in action is an understatement.”
According to Steve, the Eynesbury Pro-Am is set to have a unique schedule that caters to everyone.
“Over the three days, players of all abilities will have the chance to play on one of Victoria’s top 100 golf courses while picking up some helpful tips and tricks from the pros,” Steve said.
“For the first time in Eynesbury history, those who don’t fancy themselves a golfer can watch on from the grandstand as the pros battle it out over the 18 holes on the last day of the tournament.
Spectators can also enjoy the off-field entertainment, with free kids’ clinics, live music, food trucks, a beer garden and a marquee and bar on the back of the 18th green.
All participants can expect a generous prize purse in addition to the other experiences on offer.
“While the pros play for the $50,000 purse, amateurs will have the chance to win a brand-new Mitsubishi Triton, a $10,000 cash prize and a $50,000 cash prize,” Steve said
“We’re delighted for people to experience Eynesbury’s 18-hole championship golf course.
“This is a unique opportunity for amateurs, pros, families and friends to come together for a weekend of skill-building, fun, camaraderie and great food.”
The 2022 Eynesbury Masters Pro-Am tournament will take place on Friday 25th March, Saturday 26th March and Sunday 27th March.
