In the next phase of Drummond Golf’s ‘Golf fore a Cause’ initiative, the business has enlisted the support of some of
golf’s biggest brands to help with its commitment of raising $250,000 for Lifeline Australia.
To coincide with World Mental Health Day on October 10, from October 7 to 13, Drummond Golf will donate $4 for every dozen golf balls
purchased, Australia wide. ‘Golf fore a Cause’ launched in 2013 and since its inception has raised much needed funds for
charities including the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, the National Breast Cancer Foundation and White Ribbon Australia.
In early 2020, Drummond Golf entered a three-year commitment to raise funds and awareness for Lifeline Australia with the business already
donating more than $75,000 for the organisation. The onset of the pandemic increased Lifeline’s need for donations as lockdowns and
restrictions across most of Australia meant more than simply missing the sport we love.
Right now, Lifeline is experiencing unprecedented demand with a person in Australia reaching out to Lifeline for help every 30 seconds.
Every day, eight Australians die by suicide, more than double the road toll. Drummond Golf has rallied the support of brands including
Callaway, Srixon, TaylorMade, Titleist and Wilson to lend a hand at this challenging time.
Drummond Golf Marketing Director Ravi Abeyaratne said: “Drummond Golf has a long-standing commitment to Lifeline, an organisation that
has never been more important to the lives of Australians.
“Lifeline has been there for Australians experiencing crisis since 1963. With record high demand, now more than ever funding is
critical to meeting the demands of today” said Lifeline Australia’s Bronwyn Wood. “Thank you to our partners at
Drummond Golf, for joining us on our mission to be there for all Australians, so that no one need face their darkest moments alone.”
“The purpose of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness and to mobilise efforts in support of mental health. With thanks to our
partner brands, through this promotion, we’re doing exactly that.”
