The rosters are set for the 2021 Solheim Cup. The United States and Europe officially finalized their lineups on Monday. The matches are set for September 4-6 in Inverness Golf Club in Toledo, Ohio.
U.S. captain Pat Hurst added Brittany Altomare, Mina Harigae and Yealimi Noh to her team as captain’s picks. They will join
Nelly Korda, Danielle Kang, Ally Ewing, Austin Ernst, Lexi Thompson, Jessica Korda and Megan Khang, who
qualified off the U.S. Solheim Cup points list, and Lizette Salas and Jennifer Kupcho qualified off the Rolex Women’s
World Golf Rankings. Stacy Lewis was also added to the U.S. contingent as an assistant captain.
European captain Catriona Matthew had six captain’s picks at her disposal. Her selections included Leona Maguire (Ireland), Matilda Castren (Finland), Nanna Koerstz Madsen (Denmark), Madelene Sagstrom (Sweden), Celine Boutier (France), Mel Reid (England).
The captain’s picks will join Sophia Popov (Germany) Anna Nordqvist (Sweden), Charley Hull (England), and Carlota Ciganda (Spain) who made the team via the Rolex Rankings, and Emily Kristine Pedersen (Denmark) and Georgia Hall (England) who qualified via the European Solheim Cup points list.
